Over the past four years, our relentless efforts in research and transport planning have led to fruitful interactions and strong working relationships with various government ministries, departments, and agencies responsible for regulating the transport sector. We’ve obtained official endorsements, consent, and support from key stakeholders, including the FCT Transport Secretariat, Federal Ministry of Transport, Federal Ministry of Trade and Investment, Vehicle Inspection Office (VIO), Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), and the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and its affiliated bodies and unions.
Distinguished from other metropolitan area like Lagos, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) boasts well-developed and expanded highways and an efficient city road network that can readily accommodate high-capital buses without the need for constructing dedicated bus lanes. This inherent advantage significantly reduces the cost of implementing the Abuja Rapid Bus Transport project, positioning it as a more financially feasible and straightforward endeavor. Additionally, the geographical and topographical advantages of vast arable land and spatial resources further bolster our confidence in the project’s success.
